Several weeks ago i won a brown haired Mattel girl from ebay. The seller said she was in great, new shape. Today i came to work and found a email from the seller saying that my doll had been damaged by the post office and was now in horrible shape. I asked for a full refund but i'm just so disappointed. I was really looking forward to a new girl. I know it's silly to get so upset but this really ruined my day. I've really got to stop ebaying. For a few bucks more i could have had a brand new doll from AG and i'm sure this sort of thing wouldn't happen if i bought from them.

So sorry that happened to you--hope you get your full refund! And it's not too late to order your doll from AG, after all. (Perhaps this could be a blessing in disguise--the ebay doll may not have come up to your expectations, anyway--how much damage can the Post Office do to a packed-up vinyl doll?) It's just bad timing i guess. i have all of my AG packages sent to work because things sent to my house always cause problems--either the neighbors steal them or they get sent back to AG. But we're closing soon for the Easter break so i can't do any AG orders until after the holiday. I can go to the NY store but since my last bad experience with a broken elevator i'm a lilttle reluctant. I might be developing a fear of going to the NY store. Now i'm really depressed. lol

The seller said that the box was damaged by a machine and the doll was soaking wet with ruined hair. I can't pay close to full price for her. I wasn't looking for a restoration project since i'm not very good at that. One of the reasons i was so happy to win her was she looked like she was in new shape and had a cute outfit. If i buy a new AG girl i'll end up with another Ready For Fun outfit and i think i'll cry if i see another one of those. I really should wait for a new meet outfit before buying a new doll.

Oh that's so sad......
I hope the seller can fix her up or even send her to the hospital for a new head since her eyes got wet. I hate to think she'll be thrown away or something. She needs someone to love her.
My friend just bought a lot of Samantha items from Ebay and when she got it the box was practicaly crushed by the postal service. Of course Samantha's comode was ruined! All the other things were ok. Thankfully she was insured so she will eventually get her money back for the commode but, she was so disapointed!
Maybe you could email the seller and urge her to offer the doll to someone so she could go to a good home. Hopefully she'll have the money from the postal service if she was insured so she'll get her money regardless. It just breaks my heart to think she won't be loved! If the eyes rust she could always go to the hospital.
Sorry you had this experience.

The today girl with light brown hair and light skin.
I'm not sure of the eye color though. I have the girl with dark brown hair and blue eyes and love her but it seemed too expensive too buy another so soon from AG. Now i'm sorry i didn't go that route.
